When was the last time you marveled at the birth of Christ? Or when was the last time the Christmas story made you wonder what God could do in your lifetime?
Despite Christmas being a holiday we celebrate every year, it seems like the awe and wonder of the original Christmas story has become lost on us… Especially when we consider how spectacular the Christmas events – particularly the birth of the Messiah, Jesus Christ – would have been to the characters and people in the story.
In this week’s message, Pastor Ricky Ortiz invites us to look at the Christmas story through the lens of the shepherds in Luke 2. These were ordinary guys, minding their own business and doing their normal job, when they are all of a sudden thrust into the forefront of the Messiah’s arrival. From their vantage point, we’re able to see just how incredible this opportunity was for them, and through their response, we can learn where awe and wonder begins for us!
