GROUPS

Connection + Community

Whether you're new to following Jesus, have been a Christian for a long time, or simply curious about it all, Groups are a great way for you to connect with others and get involved at Meta.

Getting Connected
Getting Connected

New York City presents no shortage of challenges for everyday life. This is especially true when it comes to finding people who make you better and who you actually like spending time with.

That’s why Groups at Meta are such a vital part of who we are and what we do. Our Groups are all about helping you connect with other people who live nearby, have similar interests, and are moving in the same direction when it comes to faith and life.

Forming Community
Forming Community

Community is about people from different walks of life, and with different experiences, coming together with common interests and shared goals. And one of the keys to healthy community is knowing the people walking alongside you are moving in the same direction.

That’s exactly what we aim to do with our Groups at Meta Church! From the beginning, being part of a community has been a vital part of the Christian faith and our goal is to help everyone at Meta experience that community in the form of groups.

Group FAQs

HOW OFTEN DO GROUPS MEET?

Our Groups meet every other week throughout the Fall, Winter and Spring.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A GROUP?

Group meetings consist of connecting with friends, meaningful discussions about growing in faith, and a time for prayer.

IS THERE A CURRICULUM OR STUDY GUIDE?

No and yes. Most of our Groups follow our Sunday sermon series and use the weekly messages as our guide for discussion, community, and deepening faith rather than using a separate curriculum.

WHERE DO GROUPS MEET?

Our Groups meet online and in-person throughout the Upper East Side, but some Groups may meet in other parts of New York City based on where people live or work.
