Have you ever felt incapable of living up to God’s standards of righteousness? Or does it seem like it’s impossible to measure up, even though you’ve been told that’s exactly what a Christian should do?
1 Peter 1:16 tells us that we’re to live holy because God is holy. And Jesus, Himself, lived a sinless and spotless life, setting the example for us to follow. But – if we’re honest – that can feel like an intimidating standard to try and live up to. We’re human beings, which means we’re far from perfect and likely to stumble and mess up along the way.
But thankfully for us, Peter didn’t just tell us what the standard is (holiness), he also gave us an outline of how we can pursue and achieve righteousness and holiness. In this week’s message at Meta Church, Pastor Ricky Ortiz shares this 5-step process and gives us the tools we need to reflect God’s image in our character.
