If you’ve ever made a trade of any kind, then you are aware that any trade requires you give up one thing for something else. Every trade requires that you be willing to sacrifice something, otherwise there would be no trade. But when you make a trade, you are willing to make that sacrifice because you believe that what you stand to gain in return is far greater than what you are giving up in exchange for it.

This same principle applies to what and how we experience community! The healthiest and strongest communities are always made up of people who are willing to sacrifice for the sake of the whole. In fact, it’s unlikely that you could ever experience proper community without sacrifice. If our community, Meta Church, is going to live into the full potential of who we are and who we can become, then it’s going to require that we all partake in the sacrifices needed to make it possible.
