We’re living in a busy and hurried world. We’re constantly on the go, moving from one thing to the next. On top of it all, most of us are either thinking about what could have been or where we will be next. But when we live like this, we end up missing out on the power of the present.
In Luke 19, we see a powerful example of what happens when we choose to be present. Despite His busyness and his intent to fulfill His mission, Jesus stopped everything He was doing to engage with one man: Zacchaeus. By being fully engaged with Zacchaeus, Jesus was able to restore this man to place of wholeness and hope.
This is a powerful reminder and example to us as we consider the power of being present. God wants to use your presence to restore people back to a place of innocence and hope. And He wants to use you to radically transform people’s lives!
