Have you ever felt unprepared? Like wholly unprepared? Maybe you’ve felt that way in work or school; or maybe you’ve felt unprepared in a much more serious life situation where you felt like you had no idea how to navigate the situation before you.
Feeling unprepared can create both fear and paralyzation. Jesus knew this, which is why He chose to prepare His disciples for what was about to happen during the lead up to the cross. He didn’t want them to feel forgotten or ill-equipped, and He didn’t want them to be left on their own to figure out.
He told them what to expect, and He gave them a guide for how to navigate unexpected circumstances they were about to face.
