Normal is such an easy thing to accept in our lives. Normal is safe. Normal is acceptable. Normal is predictable. And the truth is, most of us would prefer to settle for normal than to risk stepping into or experiencing something abnormal. But normal doesn’t transform lives. And normal doesn’t change the world. And normal didn’t resurrect from the grave after three days.
The reality is that normal is not who we’re called to be as followers of Jesus nor is it what we’re supposed to return to. Jesus has called us and invited us into so much more. This week’s final message of our series, The Lead Up, is all about ACTIVATION! Following the resurrection of Jesus, He commissioned His followers to go and make disciples. His work was finished, but our work was just beginning.
