The Palm Sunday is a story filled with expectation! People were hopeful and excited that Jesus had arrived to claim His crown and role as King. But just a few days later, when those expectations weren’t met, they became disappointed and eager to have Jesus crucified for His perceived letdown.
Truth be told, the Palm Sunday story symbolizes much of what we experience in our own lives. Much of life is about managing expectations, while much of faith is about living *with* expectation. Yet your level of expectation in God will determine whether you’ll find yourself disappointed by Him or delighted in Him. So the challenge is figuring out how to have proper expectations of God when it comes to His deliverance and His provision.
